Met up with an old friend and she recommended this place. Super cute vibes, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the decor. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered some wine (discount on selected wines that were going out of stock). That was nice of the waitress to let us know since we weren't picky about a rosé for lunch. I had the club sandwich which was a nice portion size. Came with a side salad. It was delicious and full of flavor. Steak fries were seasoned well. We wanted to try the brownie but they were out of a lot of desserts (so we split the last chocolate chip Cookie they had). Overall great food and great place for lunch.

It was a Friday afternoon at 3pm on a cold and misty rainy day, so not busy in the cute Arts District of DTLA. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick. Soup du jour was delicious. It was red lentil curry soup with coconut flakes, mint and smashed peanuts on top. It was fresh and tasty, but could've been a little warmer. Still giving 5 stars though because flavor was lovely, and I enjoyed the texture with the crunchy peanuts and some partial pieces of cooked lentils which felt hearty and satisfying. The turkey sandwich had a good portion of turkey and ratio of butter lettuce, applewood bacon, tomato, avocado and mayo was nice and balanced. Only thing I would change is the bread coming out hot or on a grill which would've also warmed the turkey just a tad to room temp, but this is only because it was a cold outside, and the cold turkey inside was less cozy of a meal (but is what I ordered :)). So still 5 stars there too. The vibe is hipster and classy. The little "market" is cute and sells some soft drinks, kombucha, wine and beer, ships and a few gift items. I'd love to come back when it's warmer out and sit on the front patio.

Went here with my girlfriend and the food was so flavorful. I normally don't order shrimp tacos but she recommended I try and I'm glad she did because I was obsessed and devoured my three tacos in minutes haha. The matcha surprisingly paired well with my tacos (never thought I'd say that lol). Service was great and checked up on us frequently. I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's both indoors and outdoors with lots of windows. While we were eating there was a cute little bird flying around which I found amusing. We'll definitely come back !

Zinc Cafe always delivers quality food, some of the dishes have become more hit or miss I feel. However, the service is still great since they switched back to table side waiters, and the ambiance is lovely as always. I would definitely skip the gluten crust unless you absolutely can't have gluten. I really enjoy the grain bowl, and the Quattro grilled cheese sandwich is a guilty delight, haha. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 4.25/5

Zinc is a great brunch spot, we walked in on a Saturday and there was no wait. The inside is huge and the outdoor seating is as well. We opted to eat outside, where you can sit surrounded by trees and plants and birds. The service was a 6/10. Slightly over average, didn't leave an impression. The table we were seated at was not cleaned from the prior visitors and we did not have silverware for awhile. The chilaquiles bowl was delicious, the green chile salsa was perfect- tangy and flavorful. The mimosa-very strong! I would come back again for the ambiance and the food.

Superb time! Came to celebrate a birthday for a friend and our hostess Shakira was so kind. She even offered us preference for the best seating in the restaurant, thank you! To start their drinks were great, I love when my espresso martini comes with some foam and topped with beans! The retox detox was good as well and my friend enjoyed their mango mule. I ordered the bacon Gruyère omelet and it was perfectly fluffy. It came with a side salad. Everyone at the table enjoyed their good with solid ample portions. Our waiter (I'm sorry forgot his name) but he was great! A great spot to come with some friends or on a date, it's a beautiful spot with great food and service all around!

We came back to Zinc for their happy hour on a Friday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy, and the service at the bar was fantastic. We tried a cup of the daily soup special, which was lentils with chickpeas--simple and pleasant. We also had their perfectly crispy French fries with truffle salt, which were delicious. For drinks, we sampled three cocktails: the rosemary mojito, the Zinc mezcal margarita, and the mango mule with mango pulp. All were well-balanced and not overly sweet, but the mezcal margarita and mango mule were the standouts. The mojito, while refreshing, was a bit light in flavor compared to the others. Overall, it was another great experience, and we highly recommend Zinc for happy hour.
